Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans (Medigap)

What is a Medicare Supplement Plan?

Medigap, short for Medicare Supplement Insurance helps pay for the parts of your healthcare that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. It's a smart way to protect yourself from unexpected medical bills, especially if you want predictable costs and nationwide access to care.

With a Medigap plan from Low-Cost Health Coverage, you get:

Help paying for out-of-pocket costs Medicare leaves behind

Access care from any doctor or specialist who accepts Medicare, anywhere in the U.S.

Get peace of mind with fewer surprises and no referral requirements.

Coverage that travels with you anywhere in the U.S.

Who qualifies for Medigap?

You can enroll in a Medigap plan if:

• You're currently enrolled in Medicare Part A (hospital) and Part B (medical).

• You’re age 65 or older.

• (In some states) You’re under 65 and qualify for Medicare due to disability or medical condition

Your best time to enroll is during your Medigap Open Enrollment Period, a 6-month window that begins the month you turn 65 and are enrolled in Medicare Part B. During this time, you can enroll without being denied for pre-existing conditions.

Compare Medigap Plan options

There are several types of Medigap plans. The most popular and widely available are:

Image

Plan G - The most complete coverage

Plan G stands out as the most popular and well-rounded Medicare Supplement option. It covers nearly all out-of-pocket Medicare costs, except for the small Part B deductible.

It’s a great choice if you want full coverage and predictable costs. Plan G is widely available in most states.

Plan N – Great coverage with lower premiums

Looking for value? Plan N gives you great coverage at a budget-friendly price. It covers most expenses except the Part B deductible and requires small copays, up to $20 for doctor visits and up to $50 for emergency room visits if you’re not admitted.

It’s a solid option if you’re looking for a balance between coverage and savings.

High Deductible Plan G – Big savings, lower premium

High Deductible Plan G gives you the same benefits as standard Plan G, but with a much lower monthly premium and a higher deductible.

This plan is ideal if you prefer to keep your monthly costs down and only use your coverage when necessary.

* Other Medigap plans, such as Plan A, B, or K, may also be available depending on your location and eligibility. Our team is here to help you compare all your options and find the plan that’s the right fit for your health needs and budget.
